HomeMy WebLinkAbout1659 ResolutionRESOLUTION NO. 1659 A RESOLUTION relating to Model Conservation Standards (MCS) Pre-Adoption Investigation Program and authorizing the Benton-Franklin Governmental Conference to submit an application, on behalf of the City of pasco, for financial assistance under this program. WHEREAS, the Northwest Power Planning Council has adopted a Regional Power Plan which provides, in part, local governments implement its Model Conservation Standards or approved equivalent no later than January 1, 1986; and WHEREAS, the City of Pasco and other jurisdictions within the bi-county region have not concluded whether or not to adopt the Model Conservation Standards; and WHEREAS, the Washington State Energy Office has funds available to assist local governments interested in Model Conservation Standards investigation; and WHEREAS, the Benton Franklin Governmental Conference has Planning authority and staff available to coordinate MCS investigation on a regional (Benton-Franklin Counties) basis; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PASCO CITY COUNCIL AS FOLLOWS; 1. The Benton-Franklin Governmental Conference is hereby authorized to submit an application on behalf of the City of Pasco, to the Washington State Energy Office for financial assistance under the MCS Pre-Adoption Investigation Program. 2. On behalf of the City of Pasco, the City Manager is hereby authorized to sign all necessary documents connected with the application.
