WHEREAS, the work performed by Titan Construction Inc., under contract for project no. 84-3-03 has been examined by the City Engineer and the City Engineer has found that all work required by the contract has been acceptably performed and completed in conformance with the applicable project specifications and drawings, and WHEREAS, it is the City Engineer's recommendation that the City of Pasco formally accept the contractor's work and the project as complete, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO: That the City Council concurs with the City Engineer's recommendation and hereby accepts the work performed by Titan Construction, Inc., under contract for project no. 84-3-03 as being completed in conformance with the project specifications and drawings, and Be it further resolved that the City Clerk is hereby directed to notify the Washington State Department of Revenue and Labor and Industries of this acceptance, and Be it further resolved that the final payment of retainage being withheld pursuant to applicable laws, regulations and administrative determinations shall be released upon satisfaction of same and verification thereof by the City Engineer and Finance Director. 1 4 • g • • * A 0 J Lir uA. •1• 1.11 • • ••• • a Z....4 I. fr711 !Il i• v91.0,•• I • • • sk• • • • • CRACK SEALING 1. 20th Ne. from Court to HighWay R/14 2. 19th. Z • ........ • n • . .. 4 st G ; .. , ••• I t ••-?, f 7" .... _ • , 3 ' • i - . • -.. • , 0 September 25, 1984 MEMORAANDUM TO: James Ajax, Director of Public Works FROM: Dennis Wright, City Engineer SUBJECT: Acceptance of 1984 Crack Sealing Project No. 84-3-03 Council authorized call for bids on May 7, 1984; Bids opened June 18, 1984; Council awarded June 18, 1984; Awarded to Titan Construction for $23,472.00; Notice to proceed was issued July 6, 1984; Contactor started work July 30, 1984 and finished August 20, 1984; After completion of all the work under the original contract, work was stopped August 10 and the contractor left the project. The contractor returned August 20 for one day to complete the work under the change order. No time extensions were required, contractor completed project two days ahead of schedule; A change order in the amount of $3,829.85 was issued for additional crack sealing on Court Street and Fourth Avenue. Quantities overran approximately 8.0%; FINAL COST $29,123.38 or 6.7% over the original bid plus change order cost. This project is now complete and I recommend it be accepted by douncil (Resolution attached). attachment 0 DW:osw
