HomeMy WebLinkAbout1625 ResolutionRESOLUTION NO. 1625 A RESOLUTION OF THE PASCO CITY COUNCIL:DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE IMPROVEMENT OF CERTAIN STREETS; THE IMPROVEMENT OF WHICH IS TO BE PAID IN FULL OR IN PART BY THE LEVY AND COLLECTION OF ASSESSMENTS UPON THE PROPERTY WITHIN THE PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT DESCRIBED HEREIN; AND NOTIFYING ALL PROPERTY OWNERS WHO MAY DESIRE TO OBJECT THERETO TO APPEAR AND PRESENT THEIR OBJECTIONS AT A PUBLIC HEARING AT A TIME AND PLACE SET HEREIN. WHEREAS, the Pasco City Council after having considered the formation of a local improvement district at prior meetings for the improvements of streets east of Third Avenue in the City of Pasco, and having duly deliberated the passage of a resolution stating the intent of the City Council to proceed with the formation of a local improvement district for the improvement of the streets in the area east of Third Avenue and concluding that the passage of such resolution is in the public interest, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PASCO CITY COUNCIL AS FOLLOWS: 1. It is the intention of the Pasco City Council to order the improvement of those city streets in the area generally described as east of Third Avenue and identified by markings on the map attached as Exhibit "A" hereto and specifically incorporated herein by this reference. It is proposed that the streets be improved in accordance with standards established by the city of Pasco, including all necessary excavation, grading, ballasting, asphalt concrete surfacing, curbs, gutters, drainage facilities, and all other work necessary in connection therewith and incidental thereto, all in accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by the City of Pasco, Department of Public Works, and approved by the City Engineer. 2. It is the intention of the City Council that the above proposed improvement be paid for in full or in part by the levy and collection of assessments upon the property within the local improvement district that is proposed to be formed and which is described in Exnibit "B" which is attached hereto and by this reference is incorporated herein. 3. All persons who may desire to object to the above expressed intentions of the Pasco City Council, in full or in any part, are hereby notified to appear and present such objections at a public hearing to be held before the Pasco City Council, in the City Council Chambers at Pasco City Hall, 412 West Clark Street, Pasco, Washington, at 8:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as maybe heard, on April 16, 1984. 4. Following the conclusion of the aforesaid public hearing, the City Council will consider the passage of an ordinance for the formation of the proposed local Improvement district and ordering the above described improvements to be made. tr• ve el s, City Clerk ATT o, City Atto'rney PASSED by the Pasco City Council and APPROVED by the Mayor this 19th day of March, 1984. ,--- - W.
