RESOLUTION NO. 1624
A RESOLUTION accepting the work by Transtate Paving Company, under
contract for project no. 83-3-03.
WHEREAS, the work performed by Transtate Paving Company,
under contract for project no. 83-3-03 has been examined by the
City Engineer and the City Engineer has found that all work
required by the contract has been acceptably perfromed and completed
in conformance with the applicable project specifications and
drawings, and
WHEREAS, it is the City Engineer's recommendation that the
City of Pasco formally accept the contractor's work and the project
as complete, NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO:
That the City Council concurs with the City Engineer's
recommendation and hereby accepts the work performed by Transtate
Paving Company, under contract for project no. 83-3-03 as being
completed in conformance with the project specifications and
drawings, and
Be it further resolved that the City Clerk is hereby directed
to notify the Washington State Department of Revenue, and Labor and
Industries of this acceptance, and
Be it further resolved that the final payment of retainage
being withheld pursuant to applicable laws, regulations and adminis-
trative determinations shall be released upon satisfaction of same
and verification there of by the City Engineer and Director of
Finance.

MEMORANDUM TO: James Ajax, Director of Public Works
FROM: Dennis Wright, City Engineer
SUBJECT: Acceptance of East "A" Street
Council authorized call for bids on July 18, 1983;
Bids opened August 11, 1983;
Council Awarded August 15, 1983;
Awarded to Transtate Paving for $104,500,
Notice to Proceed September 19, 1983;
Two time extensions and stop work order extended time to November
30, 1983,when work stopped for winter;
Contractor started work January 26, 1984 and finished in one day;
Change orders in the amount of $11,647.50 were issued for widening
the roadway, widening the shoulders, tack coat, and widening
the prelevel;
Quantity overruns (primarily patching) added $4,410.39 to contract;
FINAL COST $120,557.89.
This project is now complete and I recommend it be accepted by
Council (Resolution attached).
