RESOLUTION NO. 1558
A RESOLUTION amending Resolution No 1478 and increasing the
size of the Community Relations Task Force.
WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of the Community Relations
Task Force and the consideration thereof by the City Council, it
is determined that the Community Relations Task Force membership
should be expanded from nine (9) to thirteen (13) members in order
that the purpose and objectives of the Task Force may better be
realized; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO-
1. Paragraph number one of Resolution No 1478 passed by
the City Council on the 18th day of January, 1982, is hereby
amended to read as follows by the following additions and deletions:
1. Creation of a Community Relations Task Force.
There is hereby established an advisory com-
mittee to be known as the "Community Relations
Task Force" (hereinafter referred to as the
"Task Force"). The Task Force shall consist
of n±ne -49)- thirteen (13) members; one (1)
representative from each council district;
and four (4) representatives at-large to be
selected from a slate of candadates proposed
by the minority coalition, and four (4) addi-
tional representatives to be selected from a
slate of candidates to be submitted to the
City Council by the present membership of the
Task Force, one of the four additional members
to be a representative of the Pasco School
District. Representation will reflect a good
cross section of the city, an employer, labor,
religious, racial, ethnic and womens groups in
the city should desirably be represented.
Appointment shall be made by the Mayor and
approved by the City Council.
2. Resolution No. 1478 shall otherwise in all respects remain
the same.
