RESOLUTION NO. 1557
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON,
COMMENDING ASSISTANT FIRE CHIEF ROGER NELSON
FOR HIS TWENTY-FIVE YEARS OF CONTINUOUS SERVICE
TO THE CITY OF PASCO
WHEREAS, Roger Nelson began his employment with the City
of Pasco on January 2, 1958, and worked for the City until
his retirement on January 2, 1983, and
WHEREAS, for those twenty-five years, Roger served as a
member of the Pasco Fire Department, and advanced up through
the ranks to the position of Assistant Fire Chief, and
WHEREAS, for his twenty-five years of continuous service,
the City Council of the City of Pasco wishes to recognize
and commend Roger in a manner that will be of public record
for now and for posterity, NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO
Section 1. That the Council, for themselves and on
behalf of the citizens of the City of Pasco, extend its thanks
to Roger for his twenty-five years of honorable service to the
community as a member of the Pasco Fire Department.
Section 2. That the Council extend its best wishes to
Roger for his years of retirement and for success in his new
position as "Assistant Chef" with the Nelson Establishment.
Section 3 That as a small memento of appreciation from
the City of Pasco, Assistant Fire Chief Roger Nelson be and
hereby is formally presented with this Resolution of Commendation.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco this 3rd
day of January, 1983
