APP AS TO FORM:
RESOLUTION NO 1551
A RESOLUTION granting an extension of that certain franchise
granted to Columbia T V. Service Company now
doing business as Micro-Cable Communications
Corporation by Ordinance No 911 of the City
of Pasco.
WHEREAS, that certain franchise for a cable television system
granted to Columbia T.V. Service Company by Ordinance No. 911 of the
City of Pasco expired on the 10th day of December, 1982; and
WHEREAS, the City of Pasco is at this time working upon a new
proposed cable television system franchise enabling ordinance and the
development of a franchise award process for a cable television com-
munications system and more time is needed for the final preparation
and approval of such documents; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the citizens of the
City of Pasco to extend the existing franchise agreement wit l Columbia
T.V. Service Company now doing business as Micro-Cable Communications
Corporation for a period sufficient for the city to adopt its enabling
ordinance and franchise award procedure and complete the process of the
award of a new franchise, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS
That certain franchise for a cable television system granted to
Columbia T.V. Service Company by Ordinance 911 of the City of Pasco,
as amended, is hereby extended upon the terms and conditions stated
within said ordinance and its amendments, for a period ending the 31st
day of July, 1983, unless earlier terminated by the resolution of this
City Council that provides for ninety (90) days notice to Micro-Cable
Communications Corporation of the city's intent to terminate the fran-
chise extension on the date set forth in the resolution.
