RESOLUTION NO 1541
A RESOLUTION Setting Up a Policy Against Malicious Harassment
WHEREAS, sophisticated malicious harassment is becoming
a growing problem in the United States, and
WHEREAS, malicious harassment is a counter-productive negative
influence that promotes racial tension and disunity among groups
of people, and
WHEREAS, the multi-racial make-up of the City of Pasco is
deemed a positive asset, and
WHEREAS, the City of Pasco has no use or tolerance for malicious
harassment of any description, NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO
AS FOLLOWS
Section 1 The citizens of Pasco are urged to take a positive
stand against any person, corporation, society or group that attempts
to create discord, disharmony and anxiety through malicious harassment
actions directed against any Pasco citizen(s)
Section 2 The Ci"ty -' Council directs city staff to erect
and maintain a vigilant posture to identify any malicious harassment
activity that may manifest itself within the jurisdiction of
the city government, and to take prompt and timely steps under
the laws and ordinances to prosecute any such activities
Section 3 The City Council, through the instrumentality
of this policy resolution, encourages the Pasco School District
Board of Directors to adopt a similar policy stance against malicious
harassment
