RESOLUTION NO 1539
WHEREAS, The City of Pasco and Local No. 1433 of the International
Association of Firefighters have a three-year Collective Bargaining
Agreement due to expire on December 31, 1983, and
WHEREAS, This Agreement does provide that the only subject open
for Collective Negotiations for calendar year, 1983, is the monthly salary
schedule for 1983, and
WHEREAS, Local Union No 1433 of the International Association
of Firefighters and the City of Pasco have been engaged in bargaining
sessions for 1983 salaries, and
WHEREAS, Local Union No 1433 of the International Association of
Firefighters and the City of Pasco have reached agreement on the 1983 monthly
salary schedule, NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO
Section 1 That Exhibit "A" in the existing agreement is hereby
rescinded and in lieu thereof, the attached Exhibit "A", entitled "1983
Monthly Salaries Applicable to Local No 1433 Employees" is made a part of
subject agreement
Section 2 That the City Manager on behalf of the City of Pasco is
authorized to affix the City's approval in the 1983 monthly salary schedule.

SUBJECT TENTATIVE AGREEMENT REACHED WITH IAFF, LOCAL 1433
At 3 30 p m to-day, with the help of Jim Leibold (PERC Mediator),
the City and Union Negotiations Committees reached tentative agreement
on 1983 wages as follows
1 Increase the monthly premium for certified paramedics to $140
per month from the current premium of $120 per month
2 Effective January 1, 1983, the monthly salaries will be as follows

presented the package for ratification at their earliest convenience
so that the agreement can be finalized
To the best of my ability to calculate the effect of the wage adjustments,
this falls within the $40,000 parameter previously discussed
