RESOLUTION NO 1527
WHEREAS, effective leaders are hard to come by, and
WHEREAS, the right leader at the right time is a fortuitous
turn of events, and_
WHEREAS, George Cook was such an effective leader and
did come onto the scene in the Tr-Cities when such leadership
was critical, and
WHEREAS, George Cook applied himself with uncommon dedication
to the goal of creating better roads and highways for the
Mid Columbia Region and the Tr-Cities in particular, and
WHEREAS, the results of his leadership are reflected
in the modern transportation system that is evolving in this
area, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS
1 That George Cook merits special recognition from
the City of Pasco for his years of hard work, effective lobbying,
dynamic leadership, and unflagging energy in his role as President
of the Benton-Franklin Good Roads Association
2 That George Cook is worthy of a special "thank you"
from the City of Pasco for all of his efforts on this City's
behalf
3 That with this recognition, goes the good wishes
of the Pasco people for a pleasant and fulfilling retirement
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco, Washington,
this day of September, 1982
