RESOLUTION NO 1526
A RESOLUTION establishing an Interagency Agreement between the City of Pasco
and the Benton-Franklin Governmental Conference on the Airport-
Land Use Compatibility Study for the Tr-Cities Airport
WHEREAS, the Benton-Franklin Governmental Conference is undertaking an
Airport-Land Use Compatibility Study for the Tr-Cities Airport to meet the
requirements of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) under FAR Part 150,
and
WHEREAS, the Benton-Franklin Governmental Conference is desirous of
coordinating the planning of the Tr-Cities Land Use Compatibility Study with
the local units of government and is embarking on the planning program with an
FAA Planning Grant, and
WHEREAS, the Benton-Franklin Governmental Conference has requested that
the City of Pasco actively participate in this planning program and provide
assistance to the vicinity planning around the airport, and
WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration Planning Grant budget
provides for remuneration to the City of Pasco for its staff participation on an
hourly basis not to exceed $5,000 00, and
WHEREAS, the City of Pasco is desirous of coordinating planning of the
Tr-Cities Airport and reviewing certain work elements involving the vicinity
planning in the City of Pasco and has reviewed the scope of work for the
planning program, NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO
That the City of Pasco will strive to complete its responsibilities in a
manner which will provide the necessary documents for adoption of vicinity plans
around the Tr-Cities Airport as part of the City's Comprehensive Plan and imple-
mentation programs, policies and regulations
