RESOLUTION NO 1497
A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE COMPLETION OF EMERGENCY
MEDICAL TECHNICIAN-ADVANCED COURSE BY FIREFIGHTER
JEFF ELIASON
WHEREAS, The Pasco Firefighter has successfully completed the Emergency
Medical Technician-Advanced Course, offered by Central Washington University
in the Tri Cities, under a program known as "Physician Trained Mobile Intensive
Care Paramedic," and
.
WHEREAS, The course is based on the U S Department of Transportation
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Course for Advanced Emergency
Medical Technician-Ambulance and was prepared by Springfield Hospital Medical
Service, Springfield, Massachusetts and Dunlap and Associates in Darien,
Connecticut, and based on the Seattle Paramedic Training at Harborview Medical
Center and the Advanced Life Support Training, 780-hour Pittsburgh Course, and
WHEREAS, The Pasco Firefighter received advanced training in several
medical areas, and
WHEREAS, The Pasco Firefighter received 38 credit hours for the course
which consisted of 775 total hours spent in classroom lectures, demonstrations
and laboratory work, hospital time in intensive care unit, coronary care unit,
emergency room and operating room, in the Pediatric Department and OB Unit
observing labor and deliveries, as well as ambulance experience in actual
operating time of the ambulance unit, and
WHEREAS, The Pasco Firefighter completed and passed a difficult five-part
final written examination given over four separate days, as well as a final
examination of practice skills, NOW, THEREFORE,
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON,
that the City and its citizens express public thanks and appreciation to
JEFF ELIASON
in recognition of his outstanding achievement and dedicated effort to accomplish , this prestigious goal
PASSED by the City )Council and APPROVED this 15th day of rcb, 1982

STEWART, AND RICHARD WRAY
WHEREAS, Certain Pasco Firefighters have successfully completed the Emergency
Medical Technician-Advanced Course, offered by Central Washington University in
the Tri Cities, under a program known as "Physician Trained Mobile Intensive Care
Paramedics," and
WHEREAS, The Course is based on the U S Department of Transportation
