RESOLUTION NO. 1482
A RESOLUTION declaring certain real property of the
City of Pasco surplus and directing the
City Clerk to advertise for written
competitive bids.
WHEREAS, Lots 1, 2 and 3, Block 3, Long's First Addition to
the City of Pasco were obtained by the city in 1970 and 1972 as a
result of L.I.D. foreclosure and no public use of said lots has
resulted nor is anticipated; and
WHEREAS, the owner of most of Block 136 (adjacent city lots)
has indicated desire to purchase the city lots in order to square
up the ownership and increase the frontage of the larger tract along
Oregon Avenue and the Council, being informed of that desire, indi-
cated in December 1981 that the property should be advertised for a
bid in accordance with established city procedures; and
WHEREAS, city staff has reviewed records of Franklin County
Assessor to determine values of comparable tracts in the vicinity
of the city-owned lots and the average minimum sale value being
One Dollar ($1.00) per square foot of land and the lots contain an
approximate total of 6,000 square feet, the minimum value appears
to be Six Thousand Dollars ($6,000), NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PASCO CITY COUNCIL AS FOLLOWS:
Lots 1, 2 and 3, Block 3, Long's First Addition to the City
of Pasco are hereby declared surplus to the needs of the City of
Pasco and that the sale of said real property appears to be in the
best interest of the city. The City Clerk is hereby directed to
advertise said real property for sale by written competitive bid,
with a minimum sales price of Six Thousand Dollars ($6,000).
