RESOLUTION NO. 1473
A RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor to sign a Quit
Claim Deed conveying to Columbia Basin
College certain real property.
WHEREAS, the below described strips of real property have
previously been declared surplus to the needs of the City; and
WHEREAS, Columbia Basin College and the City of Pasco have
agreed upon a conveyance of the real property described below to
Columbia Basin College at no cost in return for which Columbia
Basin College agrees to provide Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000)
to the City of Pasco towards the cost of a separate water pressure
zone project which will benefit Columbia Basin College; the payment
of the Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000) to be contingent upon the
Board of Trustees of Columbia Basin College making a determination
that it may legally utilize such money for the payment to the City
from the proceeds of land that it will be conveying to the State
Department of Transportation; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing has been duly held upon public
notice and news release pursuant to RCW 39.33.010 as amended, NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO,
WASHINGTON AS FOLLOWS:
The Mayor of the City of Pasco, Washington, is authorized
to sign a Quit Claim Deed conveying the strips of real property
described below to Columbia Basin College:
The strips of land are situated in Franklin
County, Washington, and legally described as
the West and South 30 feet and the North 40
feet of the Northeast Quarter of Section 24,
T9N-R29E, Willamette Meridian.
