RESOLUTION NO. 1403
A RESOLUTION of the City of Pasco Supporting and endorsing a State
Bond Issue to complete 1-82 and 1-182.
WHEREAS, the Department of Transportation needs to expedite construction of
the interstate system in the Tr-Cities area; and
WHEREAS, the Tr-Cities has been more than patient in waiting for almost
20 years for an adequate highway transportation system to serve this rapidly
expanding urban area; and
WHEREAS, the completion of the interstate system in the Tr-Cities as soon as
possible, but on or before 1985, will save money otherwise lost to inflation, and
will save lives and reduce property damage, as well as conserve fuel, NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO:
That the State Legislature establish in the current session authorization for
the issuance of State General Obligation Bonds to provide State matching funds to
complete 1-82 and 1-182 in the Tr-Cities area.
