HomeMy WebLinkAbout1374 Resolutionvelyn Wel s, City Clerk Chet Bathe, Mayor RESOLUTION NO. 137z1 A RESOLUTION of the City of Pasco endorsing and urging approval by the voters of Referendum 38 on November 4, 1980 WHEREAS, Referendum 38, before the voters at the November general election, in accordance with Chapter 234, Laws of Washington, 1979 1st Ex. Sess., is a bond measure that will provide $125 million in funds for the planning, acquisition, construction and improvement of water supply facilities within the State of Washington, including municipal water supply projects, and WHEREAS, Referendum 38 will neither require new taxes nor increase existing taxes, and WHEREAS, Referendum 38 will help assure that public health standards are met for drinking water, will increase realiability of water service; and will further the protection of public health by funding adequate facilities necessary to prevent water-borne disease outbreaks, and WHEREAS, water supply facilities must be improved and expanded to adequately serve the City of Pasco and its citizens; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO Section 1. Approval of Referendum 38 is urgently needed by the City of Pasco and is strongly endorsed by the City Council, and all citizens of Pasco are urged to vote in favor of Referendum 38 on November 4, 1980.
