RESOLUTION NO. 1373
A RESOLUTION establishing a Council policy regarding Park capital
Improvement planning in Riverview Area of West Pasco.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission has reviewed the parks
capital improvement needs and will continue to review these; and
WHEREAS, the City Council believes that the City Planning Commission
should participate in a broad range of planning activities, including capital
improvement planning activities; and
WHEREAS, improvements in the parks sphere of the City's operation are
extremely important; and
WHEREAS, park planning for capital improvements in West Pasco needs
to be coordinated into a unified citywide capital improvement plan; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission has identified a special need
for parks in the Riverview area; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO-
Section 1. The City shall apply a high priority on acquiring neighborhood
park sites in the Riverview area of West Pasco and, preferably, this acquisition
should be a cooperative endeavor with Franklin County.
Section 2. The City shall not physically develop any neighborhood
parks outside of the city limits.
