RESOLUTION NO. 1356
A RESOLUTION expressing the interest of the City of Pasco in pursuing
with other cities in the general area the potential of insurance pooling
for liability insurance purposes.
WHEREAS, the cost of premiums for liability insurance purposes has
been climbing sharply, and
WHEREAS, certain municipalities in the central area of the State of
Washington, including the Tr-Cities, are interested in actively exploring
ways and means of containing these costs through collective efforts through
the means of insurance pooling; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO.
Section 1. That this resolution shall serve as official notice of the
formal intent of this city to cooperate with other interested governmental
entities in a mutual effort to explore insurance pooling for liability purposes.
Section 2. That the City Manager and staff are authorized to represent
the City in any discussions relating to this matter.
Section 3. That the City Manager shall keep the City Council advised
of the results of any deliberations that produce a recommended plan of action,
and that no such plan will be binding /an the City of Pasco until receipt of the
official approval of the City Council.
