HomeMy WebLinkAbout3208 OrdinanceORDINANCE NO. 3 o AN ORDINANCE relating to land use and zoning amending Titles 17 and 22 dealing withplacement of signs m the RT zone WHEREAS, cities have the responsibility to regulate and control the physical development within their borders and insure the public health, safety and welfare are maintained, and, WHEREAS, the City of Pasco has zoning regulations that encourage orderly growth and development of the city, and, WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the Planning Commission's recommendations, and has determmed that to further the purposes of comprehensive planning and to maintain and protect the welfare of the community, it is necessary to amend PMC Titles 17 and 22, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That a new subsection 17 56 045 of the Pasco Municipal Code is hereby created to read as follows ZONE RT RESIDENTIAL TRANSITION DISTRICT No sign shall be permitted in RT Residential Zone except (a) Temporary signs for the sale of real property on which the sign is posted, which signs shall contain no more than six square feet in area and which shall be limited to one sign for each parcel of property (b) Signs permitted by Special Permit except Off-Premise signs as defmed in P M C 17 08 125 shall be prohibited Section 2. That subsection 22 22 040 of the Pasco Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows PERMITTED CONDITIONAL USES The following uses are permitted upon issuance of special permit (1) Outdoor recreational activities (Ord 1886 Sec 3 (part), 1977) (2) Signs, excluding off-premise signs as defined in P M C 17 08 125 Section 3.
