An Ordinance repealing Ordinance No 2143 and ado f dP/\ v<
Comprehensive Plan for the City of Pasco Cd 4te 6
WHEREAS, Franklin County elected to plan under th
requirements of the Growth Management Act as provided in RCW 6t6t
36 70A, and
WHEREAS, Franklin County and the cities therein jointly
developed County-Wide Planning Policies to guide planning within
the County, and
WHEREAS, the City appointed a Growth Management Advisory
Committee to draft goals, policies, and tentative land use designations
for the City and its urban growth area, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission reviewed the work of the
Growth Management Committee and held public hearings on March
30, April 20, May 18, and June 8th, 1995 and recommended the City
Council adopt the proposed Comprehensive Plan consisting of
Volumes I and II, and
WHEREAS, in addition to holding two public meetings, the City
Council conducted a public hearing on August 7, 1995, and
WHEREAS, a final environmental impact statement was issued
on June 26, 1995, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the adoption of a
Comprehensive Plan will benefit the general health and welfare of
the community by encouraging orderly and coordinated
development, is consistent with State planning goals of RCW
36 70A 020, contains the mandatory elements of RCW 36 70A 070
and is consistent with the County planning goals as required in RCW
36 70A 100, NOW, THEREFORE,

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS
Section 1 That the 1995 Comprehensive Plan consisting of
Volumes I, II, and addendums be and the same as hereby adopted as
the Comprehensive Plan for the City of Pasco
Section 2 That the Comprehensive Plan adopted under
Ordinance No 2143 and all amendatory ordinances thereto are
hereby repealed
Section 3 This Ordinance shall be in full force and affect after
its passage and publication as required by law
Passed by the City Council the City of Pasco this 21st day of August,
1995
