MAIL To AN ORDINANCE relating to annexation and annexing certain real
property to the city of Pasco
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Pasco has declared, by
motion, its intent to annex the following described territory to the City
of Pasco pursuant to RCW Chapter 35A 14, and,
WHEREAS, proper notice of the public hearing on the proposed
annexation, fixed by Council, has been published and posted as required
by law, and,
WHEREAS, a public hearing on the proposed annexation was held
on July 18, 1994, NOW, THEREFORE,

PETITION FOR ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF PASCO
TO The City Council

The undersigned, being the owners of not less than sixty percent
(60%), in value, according to the assessed valuation for general taxation,
of the real property described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, lying
contiguous to the City of Pasco, Washington, do hereby petition that
such territory be annexed to and made a pat of the City of Pasco under
the provisions to RCW 35 14 120, et seq , and any amendments thereto,
of the State of Washington

The territory proposed to be annexed is within Franklin County,
Washington, and is described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto
WHEREFORE, the undersigned respectively petition the Honorable
City Council and ask
(a) That appropriate action be taken to entertain this petition,
fixing a date for a public hearing, causing notice to be published and
posted, specifying the time and place of such hearing, and inviting all
persons interested to appear and voice approval or disapproval of such
annexation, and,
(b) That following such hearing the City Council determine by
Ordinance that such annexation shall be effective, and that property so
annexed shall become a part of the City of Pasco, Washington, subject to
its laws and ordinances then and thereafter enforced
The Petitioners subscribing hereto agree that all property within
the territory hereby sought to be annexed shall not assume any existing
indebtedness and will require simultaneous adoption of zoning
regulations in accordance with the City Council's acceptance of the
Notice and Intention to Commence Annexation as indicated in Resolution
No 2134 as recorded in the June 6, 1994 Council minutes of the City of
Pasco, Washington
This Petition is accompanied and has attached hereto as Exhibit
"B" a diagram which outlines the boundaries of the property sought to
be annexed

A On May 16, 1994, the City Council accepted a petition for annexation
and on June 6th determined by resolution that annexation of the area
would require simultaneous zoning and would not require the
assumption of any portion of city bonded indebtedness
B The Franklin County Boundary Review Board has reviewed this
matter and allowed the review period to lapse without invoking
jurisdiction
C Signatures on the annexation petition have been determined to be
sufficient to constitute a legally acceptable petition under the sixty
percent petition method for annexation
D The public hearing notice was duly published as required
V DISCUSSION
The proposed ordinance, if adopted, would cause the property in
question to be annexed subject to the following conditions
A The comprehensive plan of the city will be applicable to the area,
B The area will be assigned to voting district #1,
C The area will be zoned in accordance with Resolution No 2122 as
