ORDINANCE NO cl--3--()
AN ORDINANCE providing benefits for non-represented employees, and
amending Section 242 180 PMC and clanfying the intent of
Ordinance No 2941
WHEREAS, the City Council passed Ordinance 2941 on June 7, 1993, which
in part amended Section 242 180 of the Pasco Municipal Code with the intent of
providmg employees entenng their tenth year of continuous service an accrued
vacation cash-out pnvilege, and
WHEREAS, due to the ambiguity of the wording "each such employee",
Council has determined upon recommendation of staff to verify the meaning and
intent of the Ordinance, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
§1. Section 2 42 180 of the Pasco Municipal Code is hereby amended by
the addition of the underlined language shown below and the deletion of the
interlineated language shown below, as follows
242 180 VACATION CREDIT. All employees, except employees covered by
Collective Bargaining Agreements, department heads, supervisors, and the
City Manager, shall receive vacation credit subsequent to permanent
employment at the rate of one work day for each month of continuous
service starting from the date of their probationary employment After
entenng their tenth year of continuous service, each employee shall earn
vacation credit at the rate of one and one-fourth work days per month
After entenng their fifteenth year of continuous service, each employee
shall earn vacation credit at the rate of one and one-half work days per
month Each -such- employee after entering their tenth year of
continuous service may convert up to five (5) days accrued vacation to
cash in December of each year, provided the employee has maintained
satisfactory work performance as shown on , their last Performance
Evaluation and has used at least ten vacation days during the calendar
year in which the cash-out is taken
§2. This Ordinance shall take effect five (5) days after passage and
publication

REPEALING SECTION
16 04 040 OF THE WEST
RICHLAND MUNICIPAL
CODE
WHEREAS in 1992 the
City council adopted de-
sign and construction stan-
dards for the development
and construction of any
public improvements-within
the City and
WHEREAS Section
16 04 040 adopted in 1960
by Ordinance No 53 and
relating to right-of-way
requirements is in conflict
with the newer standards
adopted in 1992 and
therefore should be re-
pealed
NOW THEREFORE THE

hereby ordain as follows
