ORDINANCE NO. a ci ii )
AN ORDINANCE concerning benefits for non-represented employees, and
amending §§ 2 42 180 and 242 360 of the Pasco Municipal Code
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined upon recommendation of the
City Manager that certain changes to the benefits provided non-represented
employees should be made, Now, Therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON, DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
§1. Section 242 180 of the Pasco Municipal Code is hereby amended by
the addition of the underlined language shown below, as follows
2 42 180 VACATION CREDIT All employees except employees
covered by collective bargaining agreements, department heads,
supervisors, and the city manager, shall receive vacation credit
subsequent to permanent appointment at the rate of one work day for
each month of continuous service starting from the date of his their
probationary employment After entering his their tenth year of
continuous service each employee shall earn vacation credit at the
rate of one and one-fourth work days per month After entering his
their fifteenth year of continuous service, each employee shall earn
vacation credit at the rate of one and one-half work days per month
Each such employee may convert up to five (5) days accrued vacation to
cash in December of each year, provided the employee has maintained
satisfactory work performance as shown on their last performance
evaluation and has used at least ten vacation days during the calendar
year in which the cash-out is taken
§2. Section 2 42 360 of the Pasco Municipal Code is hereby amended by
the additions shown by underlining and deletions shown by interlineation, as
follows
2 42 360 LEAVE FOR DEATH IN IMMEDIATE FAMILY - SICKNESS
IN IMMEDIATE FAMILY (1) Leave with pay shall be granted by the
department head up to a maximum of four work days in any calendar year
for each death in the immediate family if any All time off for a
death in the family in excess of four days in any one year shall be
charged to sick leave Such leave may be extended in special
circumstances with the approval of the city manager Immediate family
shall include only the spouse or children of the employee, or the
father, mother, father in law, mother in law, spouse, grandparent
brother, or sister or children of the employee and those of the
employee's spouse

publication
