2763 ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE creating the Metropolitan Controlled
Substances Enforcement Group Seizure Fund and creating
new Chapter 3.124 of the Pasco Municipal Code.
WHEREAS, The City of Kennewick has in the past provided
for the accounting of funds seized by the Benton-Franklin
Metropolitan Controlled Substances Enforcement Group and the
moneys from the sale of properties seized and forfeited to said
group, but now the City of Pasco has agreed to assume such
responsibility and needs a fund to account for all such funds and
the disbursements thereof, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. New Chapter 3.124 of the Pasco Municipal
Code is hereby created, which Chapter shall read as follows:
CHAPTER 3.124
METROPOLITAN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES
GROUP SEIZURE FUND
Section:
3.124.010 Created.
3.124.020 Use.
3.124.010 CREATED. There is created a special fund
to be known as the Metropolitan Controlled Substances
Enforcement Group Seizure Fund for the purpose of
accounting for funds received, disbursed and expended
from property seized by the Benton-Franklin Metropolitan
Controlled Substances Enforcement Group.
3.124.020 USE. The fund shall be used to account
for funds seized and forfeited to the Metropolitan
Controlled Substances Enforcement Group, funds raised
from the sale of other property seized by and forfeited
to said group, and for all expenditure and disbursement
of such funds.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately
as there is a emergent need to have a recognized fund available
for the accounting of all such funds. An emergency is declared.
PASSED by the City Council and APPROVED by the Mayor this
2nd day of January, 1990.
