ORDINANCE NO. 2746
AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance 2740 to correct a defect
in wording.
WHEREAS, On September 18, 1989, the City Council passed
and approved Ordinance No. 2740 annexing certain real property
into the City of Pasco; and
WHEREAS, Subsequent to the passage of the Ordinance it was
discovered that the attached legal description contained
defective wording encompassing several parcels of real property
that was not intended to be covered by the annexation; and
WHEREAS, The defective legal description is
unintended error and included by inadvertence; NOW,
the result of
THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO,
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
WASHINGTON, DO
Section 1. Ordinance No. 2740 passed on September 18,
1989, is hereby amended to state the true intention of the Pasco
City Council by substitution of the legal description attached
hereto and incorporated by this reference herein for the legal
description attached to said original Ordinance 2740.
Section 2. In all other respects, Ordinance No. 2740
shall remain the same.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect five (5)
days after passage and publication.
PASSED by the City Council and APPROVED by the Mayor this

ORDINANCE NO. 2740
AN ORDINANCE relating to annexation and annexing certain real
property to the city of Pasco.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Pasco has
declared, by motion, its intent to annex the following described
territory to the City of Pasco pursuant to RCW Chapter 35A.14;
and
WHEREAS, proper notice of the, public hearing on the
proposed annexation, fixed by Council, has been published in the
paper and posted in three areas within the annexation boundary as
required by law; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing on the proposed annexation was
held on September 18, 1989; NOW, THEREFORE:
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: -
Section 1. That the following described area, situated
in Franklin County, Washington to-wit:
That part of Sections 23 and 24, Township 9, Range 29
E.W.M., and the records of Franklin County, Washington,
described as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the west
right-of-way line of Road 36 and tile south right-of-way line
of Ruby Street, said point being the true point of
beginning; thence northerly along the west right-of-way line
of Road 36 to its intersection with the westerly projection
of the north line of the southwest quarter of the southwest
quarter of the southwest Quarter of Section 24: thence
easterly along said projection of the north line of the
southwest quarter of the southwest quarter of the southwest
quarter of Section 24 to the east right-of-way line of Road
36; thence northerly along the east right-of-way line of
Road 36 to the point of intersection with the south
right-of-way line of Pearl Street; thence westerly along the
south right-of-way line of Pearl Street to the point of
intersection with the east right-of-way line of Road 40;
thence southerly along the east right-of-way line of Road 40
to the point of intersection with the easterly projection of
the north line of Lot 4 of Block 1 of Mottner's Addition;
thence westerly along the easterly projection of the north
line of said Lot 4 of Block 1 of Mottner's Addition to the
northeast corner of said Lot 4; thence westerly along the
north line of Lots 4, 5 and 6 of Block 1 of Mottner's
Addition to the northwest corner of said Lot 6; thence
northerly along the east line of Lot 4 of Short Plat 77-1
to the northeast corner of said Lot 4; thence westerly along
the north line of Lot 4 of Short Plat 77-1 to the northwest
corner of said Lot 4; thence southerly along the westerly
line of Lot 4 of Short Plat 77-1 a distance of 122 feet to a
point on said line, said point also being the southeast
corner of Lot 3 of Short Plat 77-1; thence westerly along
the south line of Lot 3 of Short Plat 77-1 to the northeast
corner of Lot 2 of Short Plat 84-4; thence westerly along
the north line of Lots 2 and 1 of Short Plat 84-4 to the
northwest corner of Lot 1; thence westerly along a straight
line to the northeast Corner of Lot 1, Block 2 of Cline
Addition; thence westerly along the north line of Lots 1,
2, 3 and 4 of Block 2 of Cline Addition to the northwest
corner of said Lot 4, said corner also being a point on the
east right-of-way line of Road 44; thence westerly along the
westerly projection of the north line of Lot 4, Block 2 of
Cline Addition to the point of intersection with the west
right-of-way line of Road 44; thence northerly along the
west right-of-way line of Road 44 to the northeast corner of
Lot 1 of Short Plat 81-10; thence westerly along the north
line of Lot 1 of Short Plat 81-10 to the northwest corner of
said Lot 1; thence southerly along the west line of Lots 1,
2 and 3 of Short Plat 81-10 to the southwest corner of said

Lot 3, said corner also being a point on the north
right-of-way line of Court Street; thence easterly along the
north right-of-way line of Court Street to the point of
intersection with the westerly right-of-way line of Road 42;
thence southerly along the southerly projection of the
westerly right-of-way line of road 42 to the point of
intersection with the south right-of-way line of Court
Street; thence easterly along the south right-of-way line of
Court Street to the point of intersection with the east
right-of-way line of Road 40; thence northerly along the
northerly projection of the east right-of-way line of Road
40 to the point of intersection with the north right-of-way
line of Court Street; thence eaqterly along the north
right-of-way line of Court Street to the southeast corner of
Lot 1 of Vista Court Addition; thence northerly along the
east line of Lot 1 of Vista Court Addition to the northeast
corner of said Lot 1, said corner also being a point on the
south right-of-way line of Ruby Street; thence easterly
along the south right-of-way line of Ruby Street to the
point of intersection with the west right-of-way line of
Road 36, said point being the true point of beginning.
as depicted in the map attached hereto and labeled Exhibit 1
andthe same is hereby annexed to the City of Pasco and is hereby
declared to be within the corporate limits of the City of Pasco.
Section 2. That the Comprehensive Plan of the City of
Pasco be and the same is hereby adopted for the above described
tract of land.
Section 3. That said tract of land shall not assume any
portion of the existing indebtedness cif the City of Pasco.
Section 4. That said tract of land shall be in voting
district no. 2.
Section 5. That a certified copy of this ordinance be
and the same shall be filed with the Franklin County
Commissioners.
Section 6. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect after its passage and publication as required by law.
