ORDINANCE No. 2729
AN ORDINANCE amending Chapter 16.20 of the Pasco Municipal Code.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 16.20.010 of the Pasco Municipal
code be and is hereby amended as follows:
16.20.010 ADOPTED. The Uniform Code for the Abatement
of Dangerous Buildings, 1985 1988 Edition, prepared by
International Conference of Building Officials, and as
hereafter amended or revised, is adopted by the city as
its official dangerous building code, except as
expressly provided herein. Three copies of the Uniform
Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, 1985
1988 Edition, have been filed for use and
examination of the public in the office of the city
clerk prior to the adoption of the ordinance codified
herein.
Section 2. A new PMC Section 16.20.030 hereby is
enacted to read as follows:
16.20.030 AMENDMENT OF UNIFORM CODE FOR THE ABATEMENT OF
AN DGEROUS BUILDINGS Section 302(15) shall be amended to
read as follows:
Wherever a building or structure, used or intended to
be used for dwelling purposes, because of inadequate
maintenance, dilapidation, decay, damage, faulty
construction or arrangement, inadequate light, air or
sanitation facilities, or otherwise, is determined by
the Community Development Director, his designee or by
the Health officer to be unsanitary, unfit for human
habitation or in such a condition that is likely to
cause sickness or disease.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect five (5)
days after passage and publication.
