HomeMy WebLinkAbout2674 OrdinanceORDINANCE NO. 2674 AN ORDINANCE creating a Local Narcotics Control Program Fund (LNCPF); and creating new Chapter 3.118 to the Pasco Municipal Code. WHEREAS, the City of Pasco has entered into an Inter-Local Agreement with the cities of Kennewick, Richland, and West Richland, and the counties of Benton and Franklin, creating a Metropolitan Controlled Substances Enforcement Group; and WHEREAS, pursuant to such agreement, the City of Pasco has agreed to establish a Local Narcotics Control Program Fund (LNCPF) for the purpose of administering grant funds from the Washington State Department of Community Development, the receipt and disbursement of such grant funds and the receipt of drug forfeiture funds pursuant to Section 8. of the Inter-Local Agreement, NOW, THEREFORE, OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. New Chapter 3.118 of the Pasco Municipal Code is hereby created, which chapter shall read as follows: CHAPTER 3.118 LOCAL NARCOTICS CONTROL PROGRAM FUND Sections: 3.118.010 Created. 3.118.020 Use. 3.118.010 CREATED. There is created a special fund to be known as the "Local Narcotics Control Program Fund" (LNCPF) for the purposes of grant administration of the Washington State Department of Community Development Grant for a Local Narcotics Control Program and accounting for grant fund receipts and disbursements and the receipt of drug forfeiture funds pursuant to Section 8. of the Metropolitan Controlled Substances Enforcement Group Inter-Local Agreement between the cities of Pasco, Kennewick Richland and West Richland and the counties of Benton and Franklin. The LNCPF shall be used in a manner consistent with and for the purposes identified above and in the Metropolitan Controlled Substances Enforcement Group Inter-Local Agreement as it now exists and may be amended from time to time.
