AN ORDINANCE dealin g with the subject of personnel and setting
a salary schedule for certain non-represented
city employees
WHEREAS, the employee positions enumerated in the attached Exhibit I
collective b have been represented by a collecar g ainin g unit (OPEIU #11) since
tive bargaining October 1984 and have, therefore, been governed by the collectiv e
agreement negotiated between the bargainin g unit and the City, and
WHEREAS, the bargaining unit, in January 1986, voted by secret
ballot as to whether or not to retain OPEIU #11 representation, and
WHEREAS, the Public Employment Relations Commission did, on

WHEREAS, the effect of the election is to return the respective
positions to their former status of "non-represented", and

WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City administration and the City
Council to treat all non-represented, non-supervisory positions equitably,
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON,
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS
Section 1 That the hourl y wage rates of those non-represented,
is non-supervor y positions enumerated in Exhibit I attached and reflecting
a 2 percent increase shall be within the limits as set forth in said Exhibit I,
retroactive to Januar y 1, 1986
Section 2 Entry level (Level 1) emplo y ees who satisfactorily
complete the required probation shall be eligible to move to Competent
levels in the salary schedule
Section 3 This ordinance shall be considered effective on
January 1, 1986, followin g its passage and publication as required by law
