AN ORDINANCE establishing a parking infraction
for violation of a handicap parking
place and creating new Chapter 10.58
to the Pasco Municipal Code.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. New Chapter 10.58 is hereby added to the
Pasco Municipal Code and shall read as follows:
CHAPTER 10.58
HANDICAP PARKING
Sections:
10.58.010 Handicap Parking Place -
Violation.
10.58.020 Penalty.
10.58.010. HANDICAP PARKING PLACE -
VIOLATION. It is a traffic infraction,
for any person to park a vehicle in a
parking place provided on private property
or on public property reserved for
physically disabled persons without a
special license plate, card, or decal from
the Washington State Department of
Licensing as provided in RCW 46.16.381.
If a person is charged with a violation,
the person shall not be determined to have
committed an infraction if the person
produces in court or before the court
appearance, the special license plate,
card, or decal required under this Chapter
or demonstrates that the person was
entitled to the special license plate,
card, or decal.
10.58.020. PENALTY. Any person found
to be in violation of Section .010 shall
be required to pay a monetary penalty of
not less than Fifteen ($15.00) and not
more than Fifty Dollars ($50.00).
Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect five (5)
days after passage and publication.
