HomeMy WebLinkAbout2597 OrdinanceORDINANCE NO. 2597 AN ORDINANCE establishing penalties for parking infractions at the Tr-Cities Airport; and creating new Section 10.94.020 of the Pasco Municipal Code. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. New Section 10.94.020 is hereby created to read as follows: and its provisions shall provide the penalties for the violation of parking infractions at the Tr-Cities Airport. 10.94.020 PENALTY PROVISIONS Any person found to be in violation of any of the provisions of Port of Pasco Resolution No. 779 shall be deemed to have committed a civil infraction and for each such violation shall be subject to a civil penalty in the amount listed, plus court costs and statutory assessments, if any: The original penalty for each violation of Section 1. PARKING RESTRICTIONS shall be Ten Dollars ($10.00). The original penalty for each violation of Section 2. STOPPING, STANDING, AND PARKING PROHIBITED IN SPECIFIC PLACES shall be Ten Dollars ($10.00). The original penalty for each violation of Section 3. PASSENGER AND PUBLIC CARRIER ZONES shall be Twenty-two Dollars ($22.00). The original penalty for each violation of Section 4. PARKING PROHIBITED IN CERTAIN AREAS shall be Te Dollars ($10.00). The original penalty for each violation of Section 5. HANDICAP PARKING shall be Forty Dollars ($40.00). The original penalty for each violation of Section 6. PARKING SPACES MARKED - MUST PARK IN STALLS shall be Five Dollars ($5.00). The original penalty for each violation of Section 7. PARKING TIME LIMIT - MAXIMUM PARKING TIME shall be Five Dollars ($5.00). The original penalty for each violation of Section 8. OVERTIME PARKING shall be Five Dollars ($5.00). The original penalty for each violation of Section 10. PARKING shall be Ten Dollars ($10.00). The failure to respond to any citation for violation of any of the above Sections within Fifteen (15) days shall result in additional penalties being owed. (a) After Fifteen (15) days an additional penalty of Fifteen Dollars ($15.00) shall be due and owing; and (b) After Thirty (30) days an additional penalty of Fifteen Dollars ($15.00) shall be due and owing. Each day that a violation continues or each time that a violation continues passed a parking limitation period or portion thereof in excess of the applicable parking time limitation, it shall be deemed a separate violation subject to the maximum civil penalty as set forth above. Court costs of Ten Dollars ($10.00) shall be assessed in addition to any other penalty, cost or statutory assessment imposed when a violation under this chapter has been found to have been committed following a contested hearing.
