HomeMy WebLinkAbout2556 OrdinanceORDINANCE NO. 2556 AN ORDINANCE relating to the Municipal Criminal Code and Amending Title 9 of the Pasco Municipal Code by repealing Chapter 9.08 Relating to Vagracy, Repealing Chapter 9.36 Relating to Curfew, Repealing Chapter 9.56 relating to High Frequency Apparatus and Repealing Sections 9.64.010, .020, .030, and .040 of Chapter 9.64 PMC. WHEREAS, certain chapters and sections thereof of the Pasco Municipal Code are no longer enforceable and in violation of the constitutions of the United States and of the State of Washington as expressed in court decisions and should therefore be repealed, now, therefore, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section One. Chapter 9.08 of the Pasco Municipal Code relating to Vagrancy is hereby repealed. Section Two. Chapter 9.36 of the Pasco Municipal Code relating to Curfew, is hereby repealed. Section Three. Chapter 9.56 of the Pasco Municipal Code relating to High Frequency Apparatus, is hereby repealed. Section Four. Chapter 9.64 of the Pasco Municipal Code relating to Unlawful Conduct is hereby amended by the repeal of the following sections thereof: 9.64.010 relating to Vulgar Language - Indecent Conduct, 9.64.020 relating to Molesting Persons, 9.64.030 relating to Practicing Homosexuality, and 9.64.040 relating to Peeping Toms. Sections 9.64.060 through .160 shall remain in effect but their section numbers shall be renumbered so that 9.64.060 relating to the destruction or removal of property is now and hereafter numbered 9.64.010 and the other remaining sections shall be numbered sequentially therefrom. Section Five. This ordinance shall take effect five (5) days after passage and publication according to law. PASSED this 1 day of July , 1985 and approved by the Mayor.
