AN ORDINANCE of the City of Pasco adopting the 1982 Edition of
the Uniform Plumbing Code and Uniform Plumbing Code
Standards, published by the International Association
of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, together with
all appropriate amendments and substitutions thereto.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That Section 16.08.010 of the Pasco Municipal
Code be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
16.08.010 ADOPTION OF UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE. The Uniform
Plumbing Code, 1982 Edition, and the Uniform Plumbing Code Standards,
published by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical
Officials, is hereby adopted by reference as the plumbing code of
the City of Pasco, except as hereinafter amended. Three (3) copies
of the Uniform Plumbing Code, 1982 Edition, and the Uniform Plumbing
Code Standards, have been filed for use by the public in the office
of the Pasco City Clerk.
Section 2. That Section 16.08.020 of the Pasco Municipal
Code be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
16.08.020 PERMIT FEES. The schedule of fees contained in
Part 1, Administration, Section 20.7, of the Uniform Plumbing Code
is hereby repealed and the fee schedule as set forth in Section
16.04.040 of the Pasco Municipal Code is adopted in its place.
Section 3. That Section 16.08.030 of the Pasco Municipal
Code be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
16.08.030 BOARD OF APPEALS. Section 20.14 of the Uniform
Plumbing Code is hereby repealed and the Board of Appeals as set
forth in Section 16.04.020 of the Pasco Municipal Code is adopted
in its place.
Section 4. That Section 16.08.080 of the Pasco Municipal
Code be and same is hereby amended to read as follows:
16.08.080 PLUMBING FIXTURES REQUIRED. Each building shall
be provided with sanitary facilities as prescribed by the adopted
Uniform Building Code and Plumbing Code. Every basement shall be
provided with at least one (1) floor drain and backflow preventer.
The floor drain is to be located in either the utility room, bath-
room or furnace room.
Section 5. That Section 16.08.090 of the Pasco Municipal
Code be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
16.08 090 FUEL GAS PIPING. Chapter 12 of the Uniform
Plumbing Code is hereby repealed in its entirety.

Section 6. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect upon its passage and publication as required by law.
