2486 ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE causing a reduction in the speed limit of that
portion of North Fourth Avenue between Sylvester
and Court Street and amending Section 10.24.040
PMC.
WHEREAS, because of development of that portion of North Fourth
Avenue between Court and Sylvester Street and particularly the expan-
sion of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital and its parking lot facility
and the expansion to the Franklin County Courthouse by its jail
facility, the city engineer has determined that the posted speed
limit of 30 miles per hour is excessive for the existing conditions
and that the speed limit thereon should be reduced to 25 miles per
hour and the city council after deliberation agreeing therewith,
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
Section One. Section 10.24.040 of the Pasco Municipal Code is
hereby amended by the deletion of the words "Fourth Avenue (Sylvester
Street to Court Street)" from that portion thereof designating the
speed limit thereon to be 30 miles per hour. It is the intent of
this amendment to reduce the speed limit on that portion of North
Fourth Avenue to 25 miles per hour.
Section Two. This ordinance shall take effect five (5) days
after passage and publication according to law.
Passed by the Pasco City Council and approved by the Mayor
this 16 day of January , 1984.

AN ORDINANCE relating to the zoning by changing the zone classifi-
cation of certain real property within the City of
Pasco from C-1 Retail Business to C-3 General Business.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the zone classification of the following
described real property situated in Pasco, Franklin County,
Washington, to-wit:
That portion of the South half of the Southwest Quarter
of the Southwest quarter in Section 20, Township 9
North, Range 30 East, W.M., described as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the East right-
of-way line of Primary State Highway Number Eleven and
the South line of said Section 20, thence East along said
section line 150 feet to a point which is 680 feet from
the Southwest corner of said Section 20;—thence North 00°39'
East 140 feet, thence North 89°16' West a distance of 150
feet to the East right-of-way line of Primary State Highway
Number Eleven; thence South 00°39' West 140 feet along said
right-of-way line to the point of beginning. EXCEPT the
street right-of-way on the South 40 feet thereof.
TOGETHER WITH an easement for ingress and egress over and
across the following described adjoining property:
Beginning at a point on the Easterly right-of-way line of
North Fourth Street, 15 feet North from the Northwest
corner of the above described property, thence South 15
feet to said Northwest corner, thence East 30 feet along
the Northerly line of the above described property, thence
in a northwesterly direction 33.5 feet, more or less, to
the point of beginning.
As depicted in the map attached hereto and identified as
Exhibit "1", be and the same is hereby changed from C-1 Retail
Business to C-3 General Business.
Section 2. That any and all zoning maps be and are hereby
amended to conform to the aforesaid zone change.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco this
day of , 1984.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
after passage and publication as required by law.
