HomeMy WebLinkAbout2477 OrdinancePASSED this 21 day of November , 1983 I R`A---i_Cs eiimibr-T-,----mky OR P RO - TEM ORDINANCE NO 2477 AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING THE LICENSING OF A "LIMOUSINE" BUSINESS AND AMENDING CHAPTER 5 44 OF THE PASCO MUNICIPAL CODE WHEREAS, "taxicab" is broadly defined in Chapter 5.44 of the Pasco Municipal Code and includes an automobile offered for the transportation of Passengers for non-metered fares and only for the pre-arranged transportation of passengers through a business office; and WHEREAS, the City Council after due consideration has determined that a for hire vehicle service operating in the manner above described does not compete for the same customers as a commonly understood taxicab business and that consideration should be had under Chapter 5 44, PMC for the operation of such a for hire vehicle service, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS SECTION ONE Section 5 44 010 of the Pasco Municipal Code is hereby amended by the addition of sub-section (e) which shall read as follows (e)"Limousine" wherever used in this Chapter means a taxicab operated at so much per hour or trip (without metered fares) and for the transportation of passengers who have arranged for their trans- portation through the business office of the operator SECTION TWO Chapter 5 44 of the Pasco Municipal Code is amended by the addition of a new section 5 44 045 which shall read as follows 5 44 045 -LIMOUSINE -
