ORDINANCE NO 2467
AN ORDINANCE concerning the demolition of structures and
the abatement of nuisances, and amending
Chapter 3.77 of the Pasco Municipal Code
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section One. Chapter 3.77 of the Pasco Municipal Code,
currently titled "DEMOLITION, REPAIR FUND" is hereby amended
to be titled as the "REVOLVING ABATEMENT FUND".
Section Two. Section 3.77.010 of the Pasco Municipal
Code is hereby amended to read as follows -
3.77.010 CREATED. A fund of the city is created
which shall be known as the demel±t±en-and-repa±r
fund revolving abatement fund Monies deposited
into such fund shall be depositied therein speci-
fically to (a) defray the cost and expenses which
may be incurred by the city in doing or causing to
be done, the necessary work of repair, demolition
and clean up of dangerous buildings, or (b) defray
the costs and expenses which may be incurred by the
city in doing or causing to be done the abatement
of nuisances other than the repair, demolition and
clean up of dangerous buildings: and accounted for
separately within the fund Payment shall be made
out of the fund upon demand of the city manager or
his authorized designee to defray the cost and
expenses which may be incurred by the city in doing
or causing to be done, the-neeessary-werk-ef-reptatr,
demeI±t±en-and-elean-up-ef-dangereus-eut14±ngs-e
preperty the aforestated work.
Section Three. Section 3.77.020 of the Pasco Municipal
Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
3.77.020 LIEN DECLARATION The costs and expenses
incurred by the city in doing or causing to be done
any of the work authorized by the above section, the
neeessary-werk-ef-repa±f7-4elliel±tien-and-eIean-up-ef
the-pfeperty shall be and is declared a lien against
the property.
Section Four. This ordinance shall take effect five (5) days
after passage and publication according to law.
PASSED this 6 day of September 1983, and approved by the
Mayor.
