ORDINANCE NO 2424
AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE CITY CU PASCO BUDGET FOR
THE YEAR 193
WHEREAS, subsequent to due notice and public hearing thereon, the City Council
of the City of Pasco has approved a budget for the year 1983, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASO) DOES
Section 1 The following budget containing

SUBJECT CHANGES FRCM 1983 PRELIMINARY BUDGE1 TO 1983 FINAL BUDGET
General Fund Revenues
Decreased beginning cash to balance budget $ (14,048)
Increased ambulance tax to $1 70 per month 28,900
Fire District No 3 Ambulance charge waived (2,960)
Emergency medical funds reduced (800)
Net Increase $ 11,092
General Fund Expenditures
COLA adjustment estimated at 6% actually set at 5% - Net $ (20,595)
Insurance benefits increased by 25% in Preliminary
Budget - actual increase 50% 49,983
Add jury trials to Municipal Court 7,500
Additional emergency medical matching funds to ambulance 700
Benton/Franklin Governmental Conference actual dues are
$29 00 more than estimated in Preliminary Budget 29
Library contract fee reduction (26,525)
Net Increase $ 11,092
Contingency Fund
Estimate in Preliminary Budget was prior to 1982 Budget
Supplement No 2 which used part of Fund's cash, therefore,
Contingency Fund was reduced from $125,000 to $57,000
Non-represented employees' CCLA in special funds had also been
estimated at 6% After adjusting the COLA to 5%, and adding an
additional 25% increase to insurance benefits, the net effect
was zero except for the Water/Sewer Fund which was increased by
$675 00
In the City Street Fund the street lighting bill was reduced by
$8,800 (from $185,000 to $176,200) This $8,800 was used to add
back (for four months) the salary and benefits for Light Equipment
Operator who had previously been cut
