HomeMy WebLinkAbout2421 OrdinanceAlf 1 ORDINANCE NO. 2421 b AN ORDINANCE dealing with the subject of personnel and setting a salary schedule for non-represented city employ- ees and setting a ceiling for employer contribution for comprehensive health insurance. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS Section One. That Ordinance No. 2318 is rescinded and superseded by this ordinance. Section Two. The salaries of non-union employees of the City shall be within the limits as set forth in Exhibits I, II and III attached and to be effective January 1, 1983 Any reference to an exhibit or contract incorporates the same by reference. Section Three. The monthly salary rates of non-union employees as reflected in Exhibits I and II show an increase by a factor of five percent (5%), beginning January 1, 1983. The hourly rates for part- time employees as reflected in Exhibit III show an Increase by a factor of three percent (3%), beginning January 1, 1983. Section Four. The maximum contribution by the city for comprehen- sive health coverage in 1983 shall not exceed $150 per month per employee. Section Five. No funds are provided in the 1983 budget for merit increases, except for the following conditions (a) Entry level (Level I) employees who satisfactorily complete the required period of probation shall be eligible to move to the Com- petent Level (Level II) in the salary schedule. (b) Any unused personal service appropriation in a particular budget account which results from employee changeover and downward compression in the salary schedule may, at the City Manager's discre- tion, be applied as a merit increase to non-represented employees who qualify because of demonstrated meritorious achievement above and be- yond regular production or professional norms. Section Six. Wherever a salary figure is given on a monthly basis, the actual amount paid to the employee shall be computed as follows: The monthly figures shall be multiplied by twelve (12) to determine the yearly figure. The yearly figure shall be divided by 2080 hours per year for the hourly rate Employees' salaries shall be computed and paid on this hourly basis. Section Seven. This ordinance shall become effective on January 1, 1983, following its passage and publication as required by law. PASSED by the Pasco City Council this O day of 19 e2-: E A.
