HomeMy WebLinkAbout2409 OrdinanceORDINANCE NO. 2409 AN ORDINANCE relating to the city water and sewer rates, fees and charges by amending Sections 13.20.020 13.20.030, 13.20 050, 13.40.020, 13.40.030, and 13.20.040 of the Pasco Municipal Code. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That Section 13.20.020 of the Pasco Municipal Code (Ord. 1850 §1, 1977) be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows. P.M.C. 13.20.020 SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING UNIT - MINIMUM RATE. The following shall be the minimum monthly amount charged to single family unit ac- counts inside the corporate limits of the City of Pasco for water service where such service is fur- nished through a separate meter for each individual dwelling unit. This minimum rate shall provide for a maximum consumption of 500 cubic feet of water. 3/4 inch meter $ 4.92 1 inch meter $ 7.37 Section 2. That Section 13.20.030 of the Pasco Municipal Code (Ord. 1850 §2, 1977) be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows- P.M.C. 13.20.030 MULTIPLE DWELLING UNIT, IRRI- GATION AND COMMERCIAL - MINIMUM MONTHLY RATE. The following shall be the minimum monthly amount charged to multiple dwelling units, irrigation and commercial accounts inside the corporate limits of the City of Pasco for water service. That Section 13.20.050 of the Pasco Municipal Code (Ord. 1850 §4, 1977) be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: P.M.C. 13.20.050 MINIMUM MONTHLY RATE FOR ALL CLASSES OF USERS OF WATER CONSUMED BEYOND THAT PROVIDED BY THE MINIMUM RATES The monthly rate for all classes of users of water consumed beyond that provided by the minimum rate (500 cubic feet) shall be as follows: First 500 cubic feet (0-500) minimum billing Next 2,500 cubic feet (501-3000) $0.4240 per 100 cubic feet Next 3,000 cubic feet (3001-6000) $0.4028 per 100 cubic feet 6001 and over cubic feet (6000 and up) $0.3816 per 100 cubic feet Section 4. That Section 13.40.020 of the Pasco Municipal Code (Ord. 1850 §8, 1977) be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows P.M.C. 13.40.020 DWELLING UNIT MONTHLY RATE. The monthly rate for each dwelling unit within the corporate limits of the City of Pasco shall be $4.92 per month. Section 5. That Section 13.40.030 of the Pasco Municipal Code (Ord. 1850 §9, 1977) be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows P.M.C. 13.40.030 HOTEL AND MONTHLY RATE. The monthly rate for hotels and motels within the corporate limits of the city shall be $1 59 per unit per month. Section 6. That Section 13.40.040 of the Pasco Municipal Code (Ord. 1850 §10, 1977) be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: P.M.C. 13.40.040 COMMERCIAL MONTHLY RATE The monthly sewer amounts charged to commercial ac- counts inside the corporate limits of the City of Pasco shall be $4.92 minimum plus $0 2120 per 100 cubic feet for all water used over 1,000 cubic feet per month. Section 7. SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. If any section, subsection sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance which is for any reason held to be invalid, such decision shall not effect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance. Section 8. This ordinance shall be published as required by law and shall be effective five (5) days after passage and publica- tion, and all rate changes adopted herein shall be applied to all billings on or
