HomeMy WebLinkAbout2332 Ordinance1 ORDINANCE NO. 2332 AN ORDINANCE relating to the licensing of commercial kennels and amending Section 8.04.250 of the Pasco Municipal Code. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section One. Section 8.04.250 of the Pasco Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows by the addition of the underlined words: 8.04.250 KENNEL LICENSING PROVISIONS-COMMERCIAL KENNELS (a) Commercial Kennel. No person, firm or corporation shall maintain a commercial kennel within the city with- out having a valid license therefore posted in plain view on the premises. The Benton-Franklin County Humane Society shall issue commercial kennel licenses for the city, upon the payment of Fifty Dollars ($50.00). Each such license issued shall be effective from January 1 through December 31 of the year of issue and must be re- newed annually with payment of the Fifty Dollars ($50.00) annual license fee. No license shall be issued for a commercial kennel located in violation of any zoning regulations governing the location of commercial kennels or operated in violation of any other law. The license shall provide a requirement that the facilities of a licensee be inspected prior to and during operation of the commercial kennel facility by the Benton-Franklin County Humane Society and that the licensee shall pro- vide reasonable access to its facilities for such in- spection. If after a license is issued a subsequent inspection shows that the licensee or commercial kennel is in violation of any law, the license may be revoked. (b) Kennel licenses. All kennel licenses shall be issued in triplicate. The original of the receipt shall be delivered to the applicant, a copy retained by the Benton-Franklin County Humane Society and a copy delivered to the city. Section Two.
