ORDINANCE NO. 2292
AN ORDINANCE relating to the creation of an advisory
committee to the Pasco City Council and
staff to be known as the Golf Course
Advisory Committee, the mission and
purpose of which shall relate to all
phases of the Municipal Golf Course
Operation, including the operating
budget.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Golf Course Advisory Committee is hereby
created. This committee shall advise the Pasco City Council
and staff on all phases of the Municipal Golf Course Operation,
including the operating budget. Its express mission and purpose
shall Include the following:
1. To act in an advisory capacity to the City Council,
City Manager, and staff in all matters relating to the golf
course.
2. To take action on its own initiative to inquire into
matters dealing with the operation of the golf course.
3. To study and analyze proposals submitted to the committee
by the City Council and/or staff.
4. To make recommendations to the City Council on the fees
to be charged and on season ticket prices.
5. To facilitate the creation of a situation where the
golf course pays its own way.
6. To address complaints about the operation and management
of the golf course.
7. To assist in the creation of programs, the purpose of
which shall be to stimulate play on the golf course.
Section 2. The membership of the Golf Course Advisory
Committee shall be as follows:
1. The City Manager or his designee and the Golf Professional
under contract or employed by the City shall both be ex-officio
non-voting members of the committee.
2. The committee shall consist of seven 09 voting members.

3 All positions on the committee shall be persons appointed by
the City Council City Council shall attempt to provide representation by
both men and women who use the Golf Course and shall attempt to provide
representation from the Parks & Recreation Advisory Council
4 All members of the committee shall be residents of
the City of Pasco, both at the time of their appointment and
for the full term of their appointment.
5. Except as provided herein, the term of an appointment
shall be for three (3) years and shall commence on the first
day of August of the year of the appointment. The terms of the
persons first appointed to fill the positions designated below
shall terminate on the date indicated below:

The appointing authority may remove by majority vote any
person it appointed for lack of due diligence or for other good,
cause. Any vacancy created by removal from office, resignation,
change in residency to outside the city limits of Pasco, or for
other reason, shall be filled by the appointing authority for
that position for the remainder of that term.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be effective upon its
passage and publication as required by law.
