ORDINANCE NO. 2290
AN ORDINANCE vacating certain portions of certain streets
and alleys within the neighborhood bounded
by West "A" Street on the north, South 10th
Avenue on the west, Ainsworth Street on the
south and South 4th Avenue on the east, in
the City of Pasco.
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution Number 1432
initiating the street vacation process to consider the vacation
of certain portions of certain streets and alleys within the
neighborhood bounded by West "A" Street on the north, South 10th
Avenue on the west, Ainsworth Street on the south and South 4th
Avenue on the east; and
WHEREAS, all property owners within said neighborhood, as
identified by the LID No. 106 assessments roll, were notified, in
writing, of a public hearing to be conducted by the City Council;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council 'conducted a public hearing on
July 20, 1981 and received no testimony in opposition to the
vacations hereinafter described; NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the following described portions of certain
streets be the same hereby are vacated and the property so
vacated sha'll vest in the rightful owners thereof, all in the
manner prescribed by law:
A) South 4th Lane: The east 10 feet adjacent the west
line of Block 4, Grey's Amended Addition; the east
10 feet adjacent the west line of Lots 25-32 (inclusive)
and Lots 17-24 (inclusive) of Block 5, Grey's Amended
Addition; the west 10 feet adjacent the east line of
Block 1, Gantenbein's Addition; and the west 10 feet
adjacent the east line of Lots 1-4 (inclusive) and
Lots 5-8 (inclusive) of Block 8, Gantenbein's Addition.
B) South 5th Avenue: The west 10 feet adjacent the east
line of Block 7, Gantenbein's Addition.
C) South 6th Avenue: The east 10 feet adjacent the west
line of Block 7, Gantenbein's Addition; the east 10
feet adjacent the west line of Lots 13-16 (inclusive)
of Block 10, Gantenbeln's Addition, the east 10 feet QC
lying between the north line of Lot 12, Block 10,
Gantenbein's Addition and the north line of Ainsworth
Street; the west 10 feet adjacent the east line of R--;
Block 6, Gantenbein's Addtion; the west 10 feet adjacent-
the east line of Lots 1-4 (inclusive) of Block 11,

D) South 7th Avenue: The east 10 feet adjacent the west

of Ainsworth Street; the west 10 feet adjacent the east

the west 10 feet lying between the north line of

Ainsworth Street, subject to retention of a full-width
easement for the construction, repair and maintenance
of public utilities.
E) South 7th Lane: The east 10 feet adjacent the west
line of Block 1, College Addition; the east 10 feet
lying between the north line of Block 5, College
Addition and the north line of Ainsworth Street; the
west 10 feet adjacent the east line of Block 2, College
Addition; the west 10 feet adjacent the east line of

a full-width easement for the repair and maintenance

Section 2. That the following described alleys be and the
same hereby are vacated and the property so vacated shall vest
in the rightful owners thereof, all in the marrer prescribed
by law:
A) Block 5, Gray's Amended Addition. That portion of the
east-west alley lying adjacent and betweens Lots 8 and
9, Gray's Amended Addition.
B) Block 5, Gantenbein's Addition: All of the east-west
alley lying between a point 10 feet east of the east
line of Block 5, Gantenbein's Addition and a point 10
feet west of the west line of Block 5G, Riverside
Addition.
C) Block 9, Gantenbein's Addition: That portion of the
east-west alley lying adjacent and between Lots 4 and
5, Block 9, Gantenbein's Addition; that portion of the
east-west alley lying adjacent and between Lots 12 and
13, Block 9, Gantenbein's Addition.
D) Block 11, Gantenbein's Addition: That portion of the
east-west alley adjacent Lots 4 and 5 lying between
the west line of Lots 4 and 5 and a point 10 feet east
of the east line of Block 11, Gantenbein's Addition;
that portion of the east-west alley adjacent Lots 12
and 13 lying between the east line of Lots 12 and 13

E) Block 12, Gantenbein's Addition: All of the east-west
alley lying between a point 10 feet east of the east

Section 3. That a certified copy of this Ordinance be
recorded by the City Clerk of the City of Pasco in and with the
office of the Auditor of Franklin County, Washington.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
