AN ORDINANCE relating to zoning by amending Pasco Municipal
Code Section 22.42.010, enacting a new Pasco
Municipal Code Section 22.42.025 and a new Pasco
Municipal Code Section 22.44.025.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That P.M.C. Section 22.42.010 be and the same hereby
is amended to read as follows:
Section 22.42.010 PERMITTED USES. The following uses shall be
permitted in the C-1 zone:
(1) Any dwelling unit existing as of the effective date of the
ordinance codified herein may remain as a permitted uses; however,
no new dwelling unit shall be permitted except as provided in Section
22.42.025;
(2) Stores and shops for the conduct of retail business;
(3) Banks;
(4) Restaurants;
(5) Dancing schools;
(6) Shops for repair and similar services such as:
(A) Bakeries, retail for distribution from the premises,
(B) Barbershops and beauty shops,
(C) Catering establishments,
(D) Garage and filling stations, provided:
(1) No repair work is performed out-of-doors
(ii) Pumps, lubrication or other devices are located
at least fifteen feet from any street property line
(iii) All automobile parts, and dismantled automobiles
are stored within the building, except outdoor display racks,
(E) Laundromats and dry-cleaning establishments employing
not more than five persons,
(F) Locksmith shops,
(G) Offices,
(H) Membership clubs,
(I) Photo shops,
(J) Shoe repair shops,
(K) Outdoor advertising - billboards;
(7) Hotels and motels;
(8) Signs (See Title 17);
(9) Printing Shops;
(10) Upholstery shops;
(11) Sign shops, commercial (no outdoor storage of materials);
(12) Veterianarian clinics for household pets (no boarding or
outdoor treatment facilities).
Section 2. That a new P.M.C. Section 22.42.025 be and the same
hereby is enacted to read as follows
Section 22.42.025 PERMITTED CONDITIONAL USES. The following
uses are permitted subject to the approval of a special permit:
(1) Dwelling units, provided the units are within the principal
building, are all above the ground floor of said building, and the
ground floor of said building is designed or intended to be used for
a use permitted in Section 22.42.010.
Section 3. That a new P.M.C. Section 22.44.025 be and the same
hereby is enacted to read as follows:
Section 22.44.025 PERMITTED CONDITIONAL USES. The following uses
are permitted subject to the approval of a special permit -
(1) Dwelling units, provided the units are within the principal
building, are all above the ground floor of said building, and the
ground floor of said building is designed or intended to be used
for a use permitted in Section 22.42.010.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
after its passage and publication as required by law.
