HomeMy WebLinkAbout2215 Ordinance'Veils, City Clerk APP OVED AS TO FORM: . 7 ORDINANCE NO. 2215 AN ORDINANCE relating to an interfund loan from the Stadium Convention Center Fund to the Comprehensive Employment Training Act (CETA) Fund for the purpose of keeping the CETA Fund solvent until the city receives reimbursement. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council finds that it is in the best interest of the City of Pasco to allow a temporary transfer of funds from the Stadium Convention Center Fund to the Comprehensive Employment Training Act (CETA) Fund. This transfer shall be an interfund loan. The amount of the transfer shall be in such amount as determined by the Finance Director as needed to keep the CETA Fund solvent but not to exceed forty thousand & 00/100 ($40,000) dollars. This temporary transfer shall not be for a period greater than three months from the effective date of this ordinance. Interest shall be charged at the rate of eight percent per annum. The interest expense is to be borne by those City funds relating to those departments that benefit from the CETA employees and shall be spread pro rata in the amount of said benefit determined by the expenses for said CETA employees. This interfund loan is necessary to keep the CETA Fund solvent. Although the City is reimbursed for the expenses of CETA employees, this reimbursement does not occur until after expenditures are made for the salary and other personnel expenses of those employees. The purpose of this loan is to keep the CETA fund solvent until said reimbursement is received. Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect after its passage and publication as required by law. PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco this 15 day of Pecember , 1980.
