Discuss "Historic Pasco' Presentation (1) Propose potential clips from Historic Pasco Railroad interviews. (2) Propose potential clips from Bruce Whitemarsh (NAS Pasco) interview. (3) Discuss Altha (Skogley) Simmelink-Perry (NAS Pasco) interview. B. Discuss potential questions for the following interviewees/segments: (1) Brad Peck (Moore Mansion) (2) John Morgan (Schools) C. March 8, 2017 I. 5:15—CALL TO ORDER: II. 5:15—ROLL CALL: Present: Marilynn Baker, Malin Bergstrom, Tom Brandon, Dan Stafford. Absent: Devi Tate (Excused). III. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: A. November 9, 2016 — Approved IV. 5:15—OLD BUSINESS: A. None V. PUBLIC HEARINGS: A. None VI. WORKSHOP: A. Commissioner Baker noted that a letter from the City Manager's office and video DVD were delivered to the Frank Pontarolo family with condolences at his passing and as a thank-you for his interview. B. Commissioner Stafford shared some photos of the Pasco Airfield dating from approximately 1931 and 1938, and a photo of the NAS Pasco "Cannonball Express" railroad engine from 1944. Copies were made available to Commissioners. C. Commissioner Bergstrom shared some insights gained through an interview she arranged and held with former E4 NAS Pasco recruit Bruce Whitemarsh. D. Commissioners discussed the possibility of interviewing representatives from the original Pasco black community involved in the railroad, NAS Pasco, schools, etc. who could share the black perspective of early Pasco. Names included the following: a) Billy Wilkins b) Webster and Joe Jackson c) Otis Hayes E. Commissioners discussed the possibility of a Pasco HIstory Movie Night in 2019, upon completion of the Pasco History Segments project. II. 5:55—OTHER BUSINESS: A. Update: Underrepresented Community Grant funding was not obtained this year. B. Next Meeting April 12, 2017 III. 6:00—ADJOURNMENT
