HomeMy WebLinkAbout4327 OrdinanceORDINANCE NO. 52-7 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN BY CHANGING THE LOW-DENSITY RESIDENTIAL LAND USE DESIGNATION AT THE INTERSECTION OF BURNS ROAD AND BROADMOOR BOULEVARD TO HIGH-DENSITY RESIDENTIAL. WHEREAS, the Pasco City Council did on September 2, 2008 adopt by Ordinance No. 3866 establish a Comprehensive Plan for the City; and, WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan adopted under Ordinance No. 3866 fulfilled State requirements under the Growth Management Act; and, WHEREAS, the Growth Management Act permits the City's Comprehensive Plan to be reviewed and updated not more than once per year; and, WHEREAS, on October 20, 2016 the Planning Commission held a public hearing to receive input on a proposed change for the Comprehensive Plan Land Use Map from Low - Density Residential to High -Density Residential for property located at the northwest corner Burns Road and Broadmoor Boulevard and Heritage Road (Parcel # 115180064); and, WHEREAS, following their hearing the Planning Commission deliberated on November 17, 2016 and recommended the Comprehensive Plan land use designation for Parcel # 115180064 be change to High -Density Residential; and, WHEREAS, the City Council finds the Planning Commission's recommendation will aid the City in anticipating orderly and coordinated development within the City; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That Ordinance No. 3866 be and the same is hereby amended to change the land use map of the Comprehensive Plan from Low -Density Residential to High -Density Residential for the site indicated in Exhibit "1" attached hereto. Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage and publication as required by law. PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco, this 5' day of December, 2016.
