Krutsch CH2M HILL 295 Bradley Boulevard, Suite 300 Richland, WA 99352 RE: Letter Agreement Road 40 East Sewer -Cultural Resources Study Dear Mr. Krutsch: This letter Agreement is between the City of Pasco (City) and CH2M HILL authorizing you to proceed with a Cultural Resource Study of the Road 40 East Sewer Project in Pasco, WA. The terms and conditions of the On -Call Professional Services Agreement by and between the City and CH2M HILL, dated February 22, 2005, shall be in effect for these services. The Cultural Resource Study Scope of Services is attached hereto and made a part hereof. CH2M HILL agrees to provide the Road 40 East Sewer Project Cultural Resource Study for a Fee at hourly rates not to exceed $4,000. The invoice for the services shall be submitted to the Public Works Director. Both parties agree to the terms of this Letter Agreement by signing below: Sincerely, Robert . Alberts Date Wallace W. Hickerson Dat4 Public Works Director Vice President C)9 EXHIBIT A Scope of Work for the Cultural Resource Study of Road 40 East Sewer Alignment for the City of Pasco Purpose This scope of work is for a cultural resource investigation for the Road 40 East Sewer Alignment for the City of Pasco. This Scope of Work was prepared to meet the requests of the City of Pasco and compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. Scope of Work Task 1 -Document Review and Collection CH2M HILL will review and collect the necessary documents to provide background information for the cultural resource report. The review will be conducted in part through the Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation (DAHP) and through local archaeological survey reports and historical documents. Task 2- Archaeological Survey CH2M HILL will conduct a pedestrian archaeological survey for the project corridor. Task 3 -Report Following the completion of the archaeological survey, a project specific report will be prepared by CH2M HILL. The report will follow the Washington State Standards for cultural resource reporting as required by the DAHP, and will provide background information, survey methods, findings, and recommendations. GIS/CADD mapping and technical editing will also be required for the report. A draft copy of the report will be provided to City of Pasco for their review and comments (within 5 working days). Following receipt of any comments, a final copy will be prepared and delivered to the City of Pasco. Assumptions • No Tribal consultation will be required. • No Traditional Cultural Properties (TCP) will be identified for the project areas. • No archaeological sites or isolates will be discovered during the archaeological survey. In the event archaeological sites or isolates are discovered additional services may be necessary. No subsurface testing will be conducted. • Preparation of final copy of report will depend upon getting all comments from the City within the period noted. No additional time or expenses have been budgeted for additional review cycles or subsequent revisions to address comments arriving later.
