I. Call to order at 5:32 p.m. by Chairperson Davenport.

II. Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes (February 5, 2015) – Moved by Craig,
seconded by Jason – Approved.

a. Recreation Highlights
i. Mom's & Son's Night Out - Went Well
ii. Chiawana Party in the Park Scheduled for April 4
iii. Spring Volleyball League – Registration is par with last year
iv. Community Garden set to start on March 28
v. Tournaments Start this weekend at the softball complex (New concession
vendor at Softball and at Memorial Pool)
vi. New Music and Movement Class for preschoolers started and is full
b. Senior Center Highlights
i. Footcare Program going well with funding education efforts
ii. Starting work on Volunteer Reception (Tuesday, April 14, 6pm)
c. Park Maintenance Highlights
i. Personnel Activity
1. Attended Monthly Safety Meetings
2. City Wide SDS training
ii. Park & Facility Projects
1. Burned tumbleweeds
2. Leaf removal
3. Tune small equipment for the season
4. Install swing bench and bike rack donated from citizen
5. Prepare softball fields at the Softball Complex for the season
6. Removed panels on portable toilet shelters in 3 parks

1. Staff retired and position filled by temp agency
2. Funerals: 4, 2 pre-needs
3. All paperwork scanned and stored
4. New inventory for sale
iv. Special Events
1. Purchased new boom truck
2. Assisted with protest preparation and cleanup
IV. Other
a. Peanuts Park Update
i. Presented preliminary designs for Peanuts Park. Discussed restrooms and
playgrounds, crosswalks and Farmer’s Market
b. Senior Center Building Update
i. Pasco School District has purchased building. A Community Center for all ages
is planned as a replacement
c. Other Projects
i. Memorial Park path and shelter construction update
ii. Richardson Park pool demolition and installation of basketball court update
V. Council Member Suggestions & Reports
b. Arthur suggested they put a lot of thought into the lighting at Peanuts Park when
they start to plan the updates
c. Tom asked about follow-up with meeting guests
