' • .l Engineering TO: Kent McCue, Construction Manager Rick Terway, Administrative and Community Service Director FROM: David Tanner, Civil Engineer DATE: April 28, 2015 RE: Richardson Park Pool Demolition - Change Order 1 Additional Electrical Please review and approve the attached change order, and supporting documentation for additional electrical work necessary to install a new service and disconnect for the proposed irrigation system and existing park lights. The original intent of the design was for relocation of existing services only and this work should be considered as a change in condition. Submitted costs where for total electrical work, and after negotiation with the contractor, the City has agreed to pay half of the costs incurred to cover the necessary additional work to add a new service and disconnect. The change was made at the request of the Facilities services Manager at the pre -construction meeting. The total costs submitted for the requested change are very close to the engineer's estimated costs for this work, as shown on the attached supporting documentation, and staff recommends approving the change request as submitted. As previously discussed and approved, the City is excepting an alternative method of demolition for the pool in exchange for replacing the existing sidewalk along 19th extending from the project limits on the East to the fence at the north property line to the West (excluding the existing ADA ramp).
