Re: Change Order#2, Butterfield Water Treatment Plant Intake Screens
Change Order No. 2 reflects the revisions to the Butterfield Water Treatment Plant Intake Screens listed
below. This change order was requested by the Contractor.
After the preconstruction meeting Ballard Marine Construction performed a dive which showed that the wall
thickness shown on the construction plans was inaccurate. This issue has caused the need to make some
revisions to the original construction plan. Ballard Marine Construction has been worked to resolve the issue
with the Design Engineer RI -12 Engineering. Ballard Marine Construction has provided a cost breakdown for
the extra construction work. Additionally, the redesign has changed Ballard Marine Construction's project
schedule. Due to this they have requested the addition of 4 working days to allow for the time to correct the
issue.
This change order will add 4 working days to the contract for a total of 106 Working Days. The pre-tax cost
associated with this change order is $$48,665. The additional contract days extends the new completion date
on May 28, 2015. The additional day will change the completion date for Phase 1 from March 6, 2015 to
March 12, 2015. This change has no effect on the water work window, which will still end on February 28,
2015.
