WHEREAS, the City of Pasco and H & H janitorial, Inc. , are desirous
to enter into a janitorial Services Contract for the purpose of securing janitorial
services for the Pasco City Hall, NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO:
That the City Council of the City of Pasco does hereby authorize the
mayor and city clerk to execute the janitorial Services Contract with H & H
janitorial .Inc. , and also hereby approves of the contract, a copy of the janitorial
Services Contract is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A", and is incorporated
herein as though fully set forth at length.

Service Agreement
EXHIBIT "A "
This'agreement made and entered into this day of
1979, by and between the City o Pasco, a municipal
corporation, hereinafter referred to as the "City", and dti,,aE,,i��
hereinafter referred to as the "Contractor" .
For and in consideration of the mutual terms and conditions contained. herein,
t1he parties hereto covenant and agree as follows:
Section 1. - Contractor. The Contractor will be responsible for the cleaning of
the City Hall building.
Section 2. - Status of Contractor. It is hereby understood, agreed, and
declared that the Contractor is an independent contractor and not an agent or employee
of the City, and that no liabilities shall be attached to the City by -reason of entering
into this agreement, except as may be provided herein. The Contractor shall be under
the supervision of the Administrative Assistant/City Manager of the City, or his
designated representative, and shall have full responsibility for providing janitorial
service within and around the Pasco City Hall. The Contractor will be responsible for
al. State and Federal payroll deductions including, but not limited to F.I.C.A, State
Industrial Insurance, and Federal Income Tax.
e..tion - Contractor's Rights. Tile City agrees to pay the Contractor
for services rendered, comencing from the date that this
agreement is mutually accepted and executed by both the City and the Contractor.
Section 4. - Contractor Duties. The Contractor shall be responsible to perform
the following janitorial services at the Pasco City Hall, 412 W. Clark Street, and at
the frequency stated below:
Daily: (5 days a week)_
a . Clean glass front doors (4) .
b. Empty all ash trays and waste paper baskets in offices around
desks and under tables.
C. Clean drinking fountain in main hallway.
d. Clean and sanitize restrooms.
e. Maintain floors (tiled and carpeted).
f. Sweep outside front entrance.
Weekly:
a . Dust and clean all counters, filing cabinets, table tops (lemon
spray wax cleaner).
b. Clean and fill al.] dispensers (more often, if needed). ,
C. Clem stairs to basement, empty trash, and clean floors in
basement.

As Needed:
a . Replace fluorescent lights.
b . Defrost refrigerators in lunchrooms.
c . Keep building free of cobwebs (inside and outside) .
d. Mop and wax floors.
e. Clean all windows (inside and outside).
f. Pick up paper around entrances.
g . Sweep sidewalks (front and west side) .
h. Clean tabletops and woodwork.
!Annum - Monthly:
a . Oil motors in boilerroom monthly.
b. Clean lights annually (at a minimum).
c;, . Change filters in units on roof annually (at a minimum) .
Section S. - Materials and Supplies. The Contractor shall furnish all
materials, supplies, equipment, and labor necessary to perform the duties stated in
Section 4 escept those listed below:
a. Fluorescent light tubes and regular light bulbs.
b. Paper supplies (i.e. hand towels, toilet tissue, seat covers, etc.)
c. Soap supplies.
d. Motor oil.
e . Material for filter units on roof.
Section 6. - Insurance._ The Contractor shall defend, indemnify, and hold
harmless the City, its officers, employees, and agents from and against any and all
claims, demands, orders, decrees, or judgements for injury, death or damage to any
person or property arising or resulting from any act or omission on the part of the
Contractor or his agents or employees while carrying out the Contractor's duties and/or
responsibilities.
Section 7. - Termination of Contract. The City's representative or the
Contractor can terminate this contract upon sixty (60) days written notice. Work
completed to termination date will bo paid for at the rate stated in Section 3. This
agreemenL may be rnodified from time to time as agreed to by both parties.
